At Barbaryball we do our best to try to minimise the impact our business has on the environment. Some of the things we do:

  • We use low energy lightbulbs in all our fittings

  • Category A efficiency appliances are used to reduce energy requirement

  • Our hot water systems supply on demand as opposed to storage

  • We have very high levels of insulation in our barn roofs and in all pipework

  • All waste is processed on site through a Klargester system

  • We recycle waste and encourage our guests to seperate their recyclables to help us with this where practical, our cleaning materials are eco-friendly

  • Wood for our stoves comes from sustainable sources

  • We encourage the use of our online booking system

  • We provide free range eggs from our own chickens and ducks

  • We encourage guests to buy from local farmshops to reduce food miles as well as support local businesses
